무척 생소한 용어, '인류세'(Anthropocene)

 

인류세는 대기, 지질, 수문, 생물권 및 기타 지구 시스템 프로세스가 이제 인간에 의해 변경되었다는 압도적인 세계적 증거에 근거하여 지구의 가장 최근 지질학적 시기를 인간의 영향을 받은 또는 인간에 의한 것으로 정의하고 있다.

(The Anthropocene defines Earth’s most recent geologic time period as being human-nfluenced, or anthropogenic, based on overwhelming global evidence that atmospheric, geologic, hydrologic, biospheric and other earth system processes are now altered by humans.
